Stop and Think About Me
© Susan Cantey 2011
Gave you your fancy car,
Your bass guitar,
HDTV,
And the shoes on your feet,
But you never ever stop and think about me.
Your microwave,
And every game you play,
The internet,
But what do I get
You never ever stop and think about me.
I’m not complaining, I’m just saying,
What I do is so amazing,
You ought to stop and think about me.
I light up every room,
I’ve even walked on the moon,
Built the cell phone towers,
I give you power,
But you never ever stop and think about me.
I’m not complaining, I’m just saying,
What I do is so amazing,
You ought to stop and think about me.
Without me, the world turns black and
Without me there’s no satisfaction.
I’m not complaining, I’m just saying,
What I do is so amazing,
You ought to stop and think about me.
