For Christmas I could wish for a shiny red car,

Or a brand new acoustic guitar,

A camera wouldn’t be asking too much,

Maybe blue jeans and sweaters and such…but…

 

Here’s what I need in my Christmas stocking,

Here’s what I want ‘neath the tree this year,

Love and laughter, happy ever afters,

A world that’s at peace, yes, that’s what I need.

 

Cookies with icing and sprinkles on top,

I like those a lot,

Pictures and post cards from loved ones are nice

And I love all the twinkling lights…but…

Spirit full worship, people filled churches,

Everyone praising, singing to Him, Jesus the King,
