Sitting neath this willow tree
The rain is setting in
The sun will never ever shine
Never  shine again

The Lord took my baby from me
And left me here to cry
Sitting neath this willow tree
Just waiting here to die

She came down with the fever

Tried my best to believe her

Where we used to pass our time
Promised Her I’d never leave
Carved her name next to mine
