I began writing this while my son Michael and I were riding the Miamisburg-West Carrollton bike trail. I was very excited to be writing a pop song, and I kept hearing a Motown treatment for it.

The song was a hit in my live performances, so I finally shipped it off to Bryan Cumming (along with "Dreams and Bones", "Driving Him Out of Her Mind", and "Fly" - all cowritten with Nick Cardilino) after my son and wife gave me demo funds as my birthday gift. I asked Bryan to give it a Motown treatment - and wow, did he deliver! Of all my demo, this is my favorite karaoke song!

Incidentally, one of the most peaceful and reflective trips I ever made was to a conference in Tempe, Arizona. I spent many evenings with music on the radio and the moon roof wide open, riding the expressways in the blackness of Tempe nights and feeling like I was flying through space.
