I wrote a poem called "Snowing" in the fall of 2014 and then made the "mistake" of sharing it with the members of the Songwriters Workshop, stating - quite clearly - that it was a poem, not a lyric. Within a day or two,Willie Hawkins had put it to music. (Thank you, Willie - meant both ironically and sincerely....)
While Willie did a good job and undoubtedly captured through music what the poem met to him it didn't represent what I wanted the poem to be. So as part of the torturous February Album Writing Month (FAWM), I created my own melody. I've been captivated with the song ever since.
Bryce Gullett just helped me make a demo of the song, one of my few demos with my own voice. I hope you enjoy it.
