L.B. and I were just starting to learn about country music when we ran across the Forrester Sisters. This was an attempt to write a song in their style. It was one of my early successes on Music Row; Jim Allison took the song on a handshake agreement and pitched it around Nashville for a few months. However, by then - which was around 1990 - the face of country music was making a major shift in the direction of Garth Brooks.
