I got this idea from an e-mail that was circling around. The story went something like this. Two farmers weere talking about a meth lab bust in their community... One says to the other arn't we lucky we didn't grow up with drug problems when we were kids? The replay was, sure we were drug to church, drug to school, ect, ect.
I forwarded this to Greg Althammer and told him I thought this would make a great song. He agreed and he and Tim Skeen and I started to work on it. Before we had a chance to demo this song The Bellamy Brothers release a version that they wrote. They beat us to it unfortunately. They must have gotten the same e-mail, Anyway their version is on I-tunes. Buy it and compare it... Two totally different takes on the same idea.
The demo is a guitar vocal sung by Matt Dame of Nashville, TN.
